Corizon News: Corizon Announces New Vice President, Nursing Support
BRENTWOOD, Tenn., (July 18, 2012) — Corizon, the nation’s leader in correctional healthcare solutions, announced today the promotion of Jessica Lee to Vice President, Nursing Support.
In her new role, effective immediately, Lee’s responsibilities will include ensuring the company remains current in nursing practice and licensure issues and applying practice changes and new initiatives to the correctional healthcare environment. She will also develop and standardize nursing protocols, policies and procedures to guarantee appropriate translation of evidence-based care and compliance with all professional nursing/corrections organization standards.
“Jessica’s passion for education and training and her great respect for the nursing profession have been significant motivating factors throughout her career,” said Becky Pinney, Chief Nursing Officer. “In fact, she spent much of her time teaching in a variety of universities and schools of nursing, in addition to her roles within Corizon. She will be an invaluable asset as she moves into her new position.”
Lee has worked in correctional healthcare since 2006 when she joined Corizon. She began her career as the Regional Health Educator in Philadelphia, where she was responsible for educating all clinical and mental health staff about national correctional healthcare standards. Since that time, she has served in a variety of positions within Corizon, most recently as a Health Services Administrator at Rikers Island.
Lee earned her master’s degree in nursing from Drexel University, holds nursing licenses in both Pennsylvania and Connecticut and is a Certified Correctional Health Professional. In her new position, Lee will be located in Brentwood, Tenn., at Corizon’s corporate headquarters, and will report directly to Pinney.
