• Correctional Healthcare as a Specialty – Many Corizon line staff and administrators have obtained their Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) certification, demonstrating their knowledge and commitment to correctional healthcare.
• Orientation – A comprehensive orientation program tailored to the distinctive features of each contracted facility prepares staff members for the unique challenges of correctional healthcare. We familiarize each employee with the policies and procedures specific to the client agency, Corizon and other applicable accrediting and governing bodies.
• Continuing Education Programs – In-service training and access to Continuing Education Units (CEUs) provide professional employees with the opportunity to continually update their skills, increase knowledge, and in many cases, meet state-specific requirements for re-licensure.
