Chief Medical Officer/State Corrections

Dr. Renee FallHowe is the Chief Medical Officer for State Corrections. Dr. Fallhowe oversees the delivery of healthcare services for over 260,000 inmates for the company’s statewide contracts. She provides the vision, expertise, and strategic leadership for Corizon Health’s current and future clinical programs for our statewide clients. She is responsible for developing strategies that promote quality, safety and cost effectiveness for the company’s healthcare programs and serves as the company’s ultimate authority on medical issues for our statewide clients.

Dr. FallHowe is also co-chair of the company’s Clinician Leadership Council, a forum that allows the company’s physicians to share best clinical practices and challenge the status quo in correctional healthcare. She joined the company in 1997 as a Medical Director for the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center and has held positions of increasing responsibility within the company since that time including Regional Medical Director and Vice President of Medical Affairs.

Dr. FallHowe is board-certified in family medicine, and is licensed to practice in the states of Colorado, Arizona, Arkansas and Minnesota. She is a Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) through the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), and is ACLS-certified (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
