Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services Selected as Committee Chair
Peter Lee, Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services at PharmaCorr, was recently selected as the 2012-2013 Special Project Committee Chair of The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP). AMCP is a national professional association of healthcare practitioners which applies sound medication management principles and strategies to improve healthcare for more than 200 million Americans covered by a managed care pharmacy benefit. Peter has been involved with the Academy for 10 years and has served on multiple committees and task forces. As the Chair, Peter will provide technical pharmacy review of projects such as Medicare Advantage Quality Bonus Payment, Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies task update and other projects assigned to the committee.
Corizon Employee to Become Mayor of His Hometown
Mike Lowe, LPN at Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center in Fulton, MO recently won the election to become mayor of his hometown, New Bloomfield, MO. This was Mike’s first attempt at running for public office. Mike has been with Corizon for over 19 years, as he began his service with the MDOCs first privatization contract, effective December 1, 1992. Mike is also an armed forces veteran, having served in the US Army for 20 years prior to joining Corizon. In a newspaper article Lowe said he filed for mayor because he wants to do what he can to help the city grow and attract more businesses.
