Three Corizon Health nurses in Clackamas County, Oregon were recognized with the “County Public Service Award” from the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office. The recognition came after the nurses’ quick intervention upon finding a patient unresponsive in his cell. Had they not responded so quickly with emergency CPR and AED treatment, the patient would not have survived. Two months after the event, the patient called the Clackamas County Jail and thanked our staff for our efforts in saving his life.
In March 2016, PharmaCorr was proud to be part of the Guest Speaker Series for the American Pharmacist Association—Academy of Student Pharmacist chapter at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. The event allowed pharmacy students to learn about managed care pharmacy and the roles of a clinical pharmacist in a correctional setting.
Corizon Health physician, Dr. Glenda Newell-Harris has been elected as the 16th national president of The Links, Incorporated and The Links Foundation, marking the first time a medical doctor will serve at the helm. Dr. Newell-Harris is a 29-year member of the Alameda Contra-Costa (CA) Chapter, and she steps into her new role having served four years as the organization’s national vice president.
The Links, Incorporated is an international, non-profit corporation with 12,000 professional women of color in 280 chapters in 41 states. It’s one of our nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations comprised entirely of women who are influential decision- makers and thought leaders.
