About Corizon: Food Drives
Passaic County Participates in Food Drive
The Corizon medical staff recently teamed up with the Passaic County, NJ Custody staff in a joint venture to participate in a food drive for Eva’s Village in Paterson, NJ. Eva’s Village is a uniquely progressive and comprehensive organization dedicated to fighting homelessness and poverty. Their mission is to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, treat the addicted and provide medical and dental care to the poor with respect for the human dignity of each individual. The Passaic team presented the facility with a large number of items consisting of an assortment of can and bagged goods. The outpouring of support by everyone involved was tremendous and deeply appreciated by the Eva’s Village Staff. Great job, Passaic!
Operations Office Gives Back to Show Thanksgiving Spirit
The St. Louis Operations office took time to give back to their local community during the Thanksgiving holiday. St. Louis Area Foodbank was fortunate to have 30 Corizon volunteers for an afternoon who helped sort over 30,000 pounds of food and goods to be distributed to charities in the St. Louis area. Corizon employees, along with their families, were also able to help provide 24,595 meals for the hungry in just three hours!
Operation Food Search was another benefactor of efforts by Corizon employees. After a canned food drive in the office, employees were able to take 12 large boxes of food as they arrived to volunteer. Volunteers at this event were able to spend their time sorting thousands of coats for Warners’ Warm Up Coat Drive, which provides coats to local homeless shelters, schools and social service centers! Some employees even were featured in pictures for the organization
